About caving
What is caving?
If you are the sort of adventurer who would go to the centre of the earth for a good story, then cavingis for you. It takes you to the least accessible corners there are. It is designed for groups and not suitable if you are claustrophobic. The best-kept secrets of the Basque landscape are waiting down there.
No previous experience is needed, but the weather at the start time is taken into account to keep everyone safe and make sure the session runs properly.
A challenge you come out of feeling good about. Suitable for all ages and a good fit for birthdays, group days out and stag or hen dos.

A bit more about caving
Speleology is the science that studies underground cavities, though that is not all it is. The proper definition is the the science that studies the nature, origin and formation of caves, and their flora and fauna — or the science that studies the shape and geological formations (speleothems) of natural underground cavities.
It also counts as a pastime, because you can do it in your free time and because caves so often hold remarkable sights.
On the Spanish Caving and Canyoning Association site ASEDEB you will find the annual competition calendars and the fees for doing this professionally. They also publish accident procedures and insurance policies.
It can also be considered a sport , because some routes are hard work. Exercising underground for any length of time asks more of the body than you would expect.
