We are the ones who get lost on purpose
A small team that likes to travel, to look for plans that are not on the first page of every guide, and to work out how the metro runs in each city it lands in. GoRandom came out of that.
Travellers who also build websites
We are a small group based in the Basque Country with two things in common: we like travelling and we know how to build websites. It is an odd combination, but it explains almost everything you will find here.
None of us is a tour guide or a travel journalist. What we do is take the boring part of a trip seriously: look at the network map before booking anything, compare travel passes, read local forums, work out why a city has three different cards and none of them covers everything. After a few destinations you realise the boring part is exactly what decides whether the trip goes well or you spend half a morning in the wrong queue.
Where we have been
Twenty cities so far, and every one of them ended up with a published guide to its public transport. Here are eight; the rest are in destinations.
Why a surprise adventure
Travelling led us to a fairly silly conclusion that is hard to argue with: the best part of discovering something is not knowing what is coming. The plans we still remember years later are almost never the ones we had written down.
GoRandom came from there. You pick the level of adrenaline you fancy, we build the plan, and you do not know what you got until the day before.
Shall we leave it to chance?
You pick the level and the day. The rest you find out between 48 and 24 hours before.
