What is hang gliding?
Take to the sky on a hang glider. The Basque coast from a bird’s point of view, for people who are not put off by height or by wind.
No previous experience is needed, though the level can be adjusted if you have flown before. The weather is taken into account at the start time to keep everyone safe and make sure the flight goes well. Not available to under-18s.

How a hang gliding flight works

The flight lasts about 20 minutes, after a 15-minute briefing and kit fitting.

This kind of activity runs from March to October, because it depends on the weather to be run properly.
A bit more about hang gliding
The Hang gliding is close to a glider. It has an aerodynamic wing built to soar and to make flights without an engine. It flies on the same principles as any aircraft, using rising columns of warm air to climb and stay up. The tandem glider flies once air is moving over its wing. Top speed can reach 80 km/h.
