Bungee jumping
One of the 13 activities you could get with Go Red, from €75 per person. Like all of them, you do not find out this is the one until between 48 and 24 hours beforehand.
About bungee jumping
What is bungee jumping?
If what you want is your nerves turned upside down and your adrenaline through the roof, then bungee jumping is your activity. A jump into thin air that you will not forget. It is safe — one of the lower-risk activities we run — which does not make it any less extreme. All it takes is switching your head off, trusting the rope and going. And if you want it even more real, you can jump backwards.
Not available to under-18s. No previous experience is needed, but the weather at the start time is taken into account to keep everyone safe and make sure the session runs properly.

Bungee jumping records
Did you know that as many as 135 people have jumped off the same bridge? It was done in Russia, in the tandem format, where two or more people jump at once. It is the usual way of doing it and it helps a great deal if you are nervous.
The other striking record is the height. The highest bridge is in South Africa, over the Bloukrans river, standing 216 metres up. Quite a thing.
If you are the sort who likes adrenaline and is afraid of nothing, you will not need convincing. If the idea does scare you a little, read on.
Bungee jumping is, whatever the first impression, entirely safe, as long as it is run by professionals with proper equipment.
The person making the jumpis held by a harness and a climbing rope, both anchored on the far side of the bridge. If that is not reassurance enough, jump backwards instead: that way you still get the adrenaline without the worst of the nerves, because you cannot see the drop.
If, on the other hand, you want more of it, jump facing out — twice as intense.
