About stand-up paddle
What is stand-up paddle?
The stand-up paddle is as close as you get to walking on water. Anyone can do it. You put your balance and your stamina to work while taking in the view and the company. Once it clicks, you have something genuinely good to do with good views and good company.
You can do it in pairs or in a group. No previous experience is needed and there are different difficulty levels. The weather at the start time is taken into account so the session runs properly and everyone stays safe.

A bit more about stand-up paddle
At first glance this one looks calm and undemanding. It is not.
To begin with, you have to stay balanced on the board before you go anywhere, which depending on the board can be tricky. Once you are steady, you have to steer, or you will not get where you meant to go.
So far so relaxed. But what happens if where you are paddling there is a strong current? If it runs your way, fine. Against you, and it becomes real work. When that happens, the thing to do is move in towards the bank , where the current is much weaker or absent, which lets you make progress far more easily.
Finally, it is worth knowing the website of the Spanish Surfing Federation (FES), where you will find the latest from a sport that has grown a lot. The competition calendars and the tips in their sections are useful too.
